Empowered Nation - ENACT
Have you ever thought about becoming a sport leader? Do you wish to make an impact at sport event not just as a volunteer but also as a leader? Would you like to stay at sport sector after you finish your athlete career?
If you ever were thinking about the rocky way which could take you up to the decision making level of sport and it seems foggy, then here is a project for you to help you out.
In European sport sector the female leader’s percentage is less than 10% as well as based on the gender equality survey’s results completed by EUSA member federations in 2011 and 2016 we realized a huge interest and urgent need to act. Behind the fact of lower representation of female leaders at different sport levels there are many reason. ENACT project wish to achieve sustainable strategic plans to enforce gender balanced decision maker’s participation at university sport events, thus we start to work on it with current EUSA athletes and volunteers. The involved participants will be learning through non-formal education by leaders with experience on the field of martial arts, women empowerment and/or gender equality.
The project aims to support female leaders with leadership skills through sport and volunteering, to engage them to the European sport sector, while we fight against the lack of access in sport for female leaders by identifying opportunities for youth employability and professional development in Europe.
The project thrives to have impact at different levels as local clubs, universities and sport federations to foster a better cooperation between European countries and institutions of sport.
